Daughters of Darkness is one of my favourites. I even visited the Hotel in Ostend. Surprised no one's mentioned it.

I also agree with Martin and Fearless Vampire Killers. FVK is even my favourite Polanski and has a magnificent atmosphere about it - and I'm usually indifferent to horror comedies. Both are exceptional films. Herzog and Murnau's Nosferatu too. And The Hunger.

I've never really liked Near Dark, Vampires (Carpenter) or Interview with a Vampire etc. I find them all quite lame.
