But neither would make my overall Top 100.

Both are way better than F13th: Part VI though.

I've only seen it once, but I thought The Box was rubbish. Love Zombieland.

I think I must harbour a secret, deep-rooted love for Richard Kelly as I absolutely adore The Box, Donnie Darko and Southland Tales.

I probably consider Southland Tales his best. Should I seek help or just revel in the Kelly-love-madness?

Me too. Dreadful. I might have turned it off had it not been for Cameron Diaz.

I don't think either is a perfect solution – I think Southland Tales is a mess – but it's probably a case of 'if you like it, it's not wrong'.

I really wanted to like The Box, but it felt very much like something which would work perfectly as an episode of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits, but felt bloated and dragged out as a feature film.

Interesting you mention the TZ/Outer Limits connection with The Box, Nos. I had the same feelings when I watched it, although without the bloated dragged-out-ness!

All i recall was two people sat staring at a black box on the kitchen table.

Cinema doesn't get more riveting than that.

Can't even recall who the other was.

Was it Ben Kingsley?

Not exactly a Crusader and Death playing a game of chess for the Crusader's soul, is it?
