indeed! No pressure, but: you must watch it immediately!!

It's not generally considered Jodorowsky's best, but it is my personal favourite of his.

Thats all thats needed.
I Walked with a Zombie is actually my favourite zombie film (not nearly enough zombie films deal with the whole voodoo curse side to zombification, which I find fascinating), plus it's such a terrifically creepy and atmospheric film. If I'd extended the list to a top 20, it would no doubt be in there.

At no 11 i hope.

I watch it twice every October. Despite its Caribbean setting its the perfect dark night horror film. Every time i see it, i immediately watch it again with Kim Newman's comm track. Turned into a bit of a tradition really.

Number 17 actually!

I've been trying to comprise a Top 666 horror film list for Halloween for the past three years, but have struggled trying to sort it and watch everything and re-watch everything I want to in order to complete it. I have many 'drafts' and the top 250 or so films don't change too much, so it's quite easy for me to pull these horror-themed lists out on demand (for jiraffe justin's polls etc).

I'm not sure why but, when I was compiling my Top 50 horror films list for Film 365, I completely forgot about I Walked with a Zombie. I've been meaning to redo the list for a while and I was planning to do it for Halloween but, when I have a spare few days, I'll have a good think about it and see how many changes need to be made.

Yeah, great comprehensive lists there, and I could wax lyrical about so many of them but I'll spare the board my indelicate ramblings. Great to see Ganja & Hess in there - I foolishly left it out of my own list - a truly magnificent where-have-you-been-all-my-life Horror film.
