I posted this elsewhere, but yeh, I do mine by colour so it looks lovely. It also means I've gradually learned to identify most of the films I own by the colour of their spine, which is quite odd (I probably could have gone on You Bet years ago like those people who can identify cars blindfolded just by the sound of their doors being slammed).

That's a really novel way of organising dvds! Mine only look like that on the Shameless/Arrow/Tartan shelves which are obviously organised by label

Novel sounds much nicer than weird (which is what visitors to the flat usually say!) - cheers.

I've got an equal amount of shelves on the other side of the wall that are just black spines - which kind of makes me want to write to the sleeve design departments and say 'variety is the spice of life'.
