Paul Naschy: Recommendations I reviewed Naschy's Hunchback of the Morgue recently and loved it so I'm asking what other Naschy is essential or that I need to see? |
He doesn't have a major part in it, but he's important and he's brilliant, so I have to recommend The Hanging Woman, which Troma have released. |
My favorites so far... La marca del Hombre-lobo (1968) La noche de Walpurgis (1971) El retorno del Hombre-Lobo (1981) All are available on dvd. http://b.dv1.us/p1/776/067776-d0.jpg http://a.dv1.us/p1/563/021563-d0.jpg http://dv1.us/p1/120/078120-d0.jpg Night of the Werewolf is also available on blu (as a double bill) http://b.dv1.us/p1/275/104275-d0.jpg |

The BCI dvd's of Werewolf Shadow and Curse of the Devil have some problems though. That's why I put up the old AB dvd of Shadow. |

I love most of Paul Naschy's work, and in addition to some of the great recommendations by others above I'd also recommend: Human Beasts and El retorno de Walpurgis (Curse of the Devil), plus Rojo Sangre (while nothing special) is worth a look. |
