Thanks, Susan.

Sounds like he was having a laugh to be honest, knowing what Roth's like. He did well to say anything about such a shit movie.

Must admit that I was very disappointed with the commentary

That was really the only reason I got the DVD, and I was expecting a true insight into the making and legend/legacy of this notorious grindhouse movie from someone who is a fan

The only ones who could do that would be cast and crew.

But i feel for your disappointment. Sincerely. Some commentaries are excellent others are a waste of time. We've been spoiled by the great extras on DW dvd's no doubt.

But most of the cast are dead, and one of the lead male actors weighted over 600lbs when he died

I know - Mr. Roth told me so on the commentary!

To be honest it sounds quite an amusing commentary.

Sounds from your description like a Joe Bob Briggs style commentary.

I hear that 88's release of Nights of Terror has a great commentary track with the illustrious John Martin who reminiscences over the video nasties and VRA days.

Some joke commentaries are fun - the one on 'This Is Spinal Tap', with the cast in character for example

I don't have it to hand, but I think that the DVD of 'I Spit On Your Grave' (original version) has two commentaries - one from Joe-Bob and another one from director Meir Zarchi

Maybe 'Bloodsucking Freaks' should have had a second (serious) commentary as well as the joke one
