Yeah its not really accurate as a ticket to see a movie these days is like $12and is on 2000 Screens as compared to back in the day when a movie would cost around $5 and was shown at a lot less theatres

Saw is a modern classic. The rest (perhaps excluding the 2nd) are not worth your 90mins.

Saw 1 was awesome!

then it went downhill every single year. So glad its the last.

Scream movies made more per movie on average then saw per movie average if you divide the total with the no of movies made.

I watched the first one, and if that's the best I'm glad I never watched the rest. Not my kind of thing at all, still it's good to see any genre based film making big bucks at the box office.

I saw the first Saw because it sounded interesting. I saw the 2nd film for Emmanuelle Vaugier (I also need to the the fourth one). Wasn't interested in seeing the other 4.

Friday The 13th, on the other hand,, i'm a fan of that series. Pt 3, Pt 7, JTGH and the reboot are my favourites.

I never really liked the Saw serise that much. The first one was ok but (as I think someone else has stated) the acting is so terrible that it almost ruins the film. From then on I have watched a few of the sequels but have not seen anything that has really impressed me at all. Some of the traps were quite innovative though.

My favourite horror serise has to be the Evil Dead trilogy. I still hold out a small hope that Raimi and Campbell will get back togther and make a fourth film, however I'm not holding my breath.

While I kind of agree, I find all the the above to be yawn inducing franchises.

Re: Saw - I've seen the first three, and that was enough for me. While the first is a fairly original and fairly enjoyable movie, the two sequels that I have seen, I didn't care for at all.
