Really good film as well. I've got the old ABUS one. I remember how annoyed I was when it arrived though and it didn't have the poster card! Didn't even get a reply from Anchor Bay.

A good film but a bit draggy in parts. I'd like to see the shorter 90 minute version and see how it compares.

Oh man,we really need to get the poll fixed/changed....
I already pmed Stefan, but no reply yet.

NIGHT OF THE SHORT GLASS DOLLS ?
Sorry Reaps...

Btw anyone wants to make suggestions on how to change the poll?
Myself and BE opted for favorite (giallo) director.
It would get too big if all gialli were listed to choose from.

We could also use those wiki friendly gialli categories you posted a few pages back b.

Yep. ...plus with reference to your earlier post below:

Mikel Koven has this to say in his book La Dolce Morte on the giallo filone (free translation:movement):

"There are several different kinds of gialli....While the classical giallo features a serial killer clad in black gloves, hat, and overcoat being hunted by an amateur detective, the poliziotto puts the police investigation front and center in the investigation.
Other gialli tend to focus on more private and interior settings, creating more of a suspense giallo.
Still others, embracing the strong connection between the giallo and the horror film, offer a more supernatural narative, the giallo-fantastico.
What we mean by giallo, then is quite a broad spectrum of films, despite their formulaic narratives."

So:

Classical giallo (Blood and Black Lace,The Bird with the Chrystal Plumage,Who Saw Her Die?...)
Poliziotto giallo (Black Belly of the Tarantula,Death Occurred last Night,So Sweet,So Dead...)
Suspense giallo (The Sweet Body of Deborah,Orgasmo,Perversion Story...)
Giallo-fantastico (Suspiria,Inferno,Malocchio...)

It's a toss up between Classical and Suspense for me.

Only Arrow's Blu of Inferno, which I'm getting more used to referring to as a gialli, thanks to the brilliantly named Giallo-fantastico sub-genre. Up until recently, I would have scoffed at anyone who would have used the 'G' word, in reference to Inferno, but I've had a change of heart.

I'm also hoping to go and see Torso on the big screen this coming Friday in Preston!

I've hardly watched any films recently - I've been hunting for a new car!

Going to watch Watch Me When I Kill now and if I'm not to tired I'll watch Who Saw Her Die? too.
