Good question, and one to which the answer is probably 'yes'!

Come to think of it, things like Morse and even old daytime TV shows such as Columbo could fit the definition as, though they aren't overly violent and stylish, there is a detective looking for a mystery killer, putting his life at risk in the process.

Could you imagine a Miss Marple boxset being released with a yellow box and blood spots on individual cases?!

Ah, in that case I think I'll go for the Blue Underground release.

I would love to get my hands on The Red Queen Kills 7 Times but I haven't found it available anywhere except included in The Emilio Miraglia Killer Queen Box Set,and the cheapest I've found that is $40 used. Any suggestions on where I might find it cheaper would be appreciated (or is that a good price as is ?).

That's a good price imho.
It's the only official dvd release I think, the German one is possibly a grey market one I've read.
And you also get a nice dvd of The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave and a fun figurine...
