Picked it up because Ovidio directed and his films are always interesting but haven't watched it yet.
Bought this DVD recently because I, too, have a strong affection towards any and all Assonitis productions! Haven't yet watched this one, however!

MADHOUSE is a pretty shoddy giallo but one that attained infamy because it was on the original DPP video nasty list.

Not sure if giallo is the correct classification for this movie but Amuck is one of my favorite movies. Anything with both Rosalba Neri and Barbara Bouchet in it has to be good! The only copy I have is a really bad copy made from VHS materials it seems. I would love to purchase a DVD of this movie but it seems to be really scarce. Does anyone know where I could find a copy to purchase and what kind of cost would I be looking at? Also, any news of this movie hopefully being re-mastered and re-released in the near future? Thanks.

Sad but true as this is a great giallo which could really do with a decent dvd release...I'd think someone would release it because of the star cast...

Found these recently...

One of the important ingredients of the best classic gialli is the glamour, something neo-gialli makers seem to forget about nowadays...
