Ditto.

It's watchable but certainly not top-tier giallo fare.

I often consider getting this, but the advert in The DarkSide magazine doesn't really reveal a great deal. Is it full colour or black and white? Is it mostly plain text, or are there movie posters and/or stills scattered throughout?

It's a really good book in my opinion, each film has a review, alternative titles and run times are given and it also says which releases are available on dvd etc and if cut, although being written 10 years or so ago there's a lot of dvd releases that aren't covered.
It is filled with original film poster artwork which are usually next to the review, so some are small. But it also has quite a few stills and a few full page pictures almost all are in colour. One of those books that i'm always getting off the shelf to have a nose in pretty regularly.

The book sounds good, and I found one for about £20 – is that a good price?

My copy of Blood and black lace has the price tag of £ 19.99 printed on the back, in the Darkside magazine it's priced at £20 too. So that seems about right.
By the way its A4 sized and 148 pages, just to let everyone know.
Just had a look and all the details for available releases are for video, due to the book being first published in 1999, but these are only minor footnotes to the actual reviews.
It's still a great book for Giallo fans though.

Default Blood and Black Lace.

Hope these pics are of help to you Baka.

Just be warned it is paperback and i've heard reports of earlier copies falling to pieces. Mine is well thumbed but taken care of. Keeping the spine unbroken.

Thanks to both of you; I've just bought a copy from eBay for £19.95, plus £2.90 postage.

Thanks for the photos, it sums up pretty much everything I needed to know. It seems to cover a good range of titles too. I'll be ordering a copy from TDSM very soon.
