Seems Sinister Film Italy is releasing this on dvd (with English audio!) in October.

Fingers crossed it's a new transfer!

[EDIT] See several posts below for more info...there is a possibility it seems there's really going to be a new dvd

Didn't that one get a German DVD release Bruno? I think I bought it years ago, and I remember watching it vaguely as well.

Yes and I've just received news that Sinister's dvd uses the same master as the German dvd but with a new extra...also it seems this was already released last year so I'm very puzzled it's announced as coming next October by Amazon.it?

The old Italian Next Video dvd had a different transfer btw (with Italian titles) but was not anamorphic or English friendly...

So same old transfer...unless there's really a new dvd coming?

[EDIT] There's still a possibility of a new dvd it seems (see below)

That does seem strange I suppose.

To make things even stranger...I think Sinister Film no longer exists?!
But I can't confirm this yet...however their distributor/parent company does still exist (CG Video).

[EDIT] CG Video confirms Sinister Film is still alive and more (see below)

After luring everyone into this forgotten thread...thought I'd at least let you know that the Italian gothic/early giallo crossover La Lama nel Corpo is getting a blu + dvd combo release soon (October) by German Company Filmart.

It should be English friendly btw and is,at least for me personally,a must buy...as I've been nagging companies for years to get this unearthed.

An update on Sinister film!
Seems they are still alive,at least according to their distributor. Strangely enough their 2014 dvd of Eyeball seems to have disappeared from the radar...maybe there is some truth in the new Amazon.it release date?

I found more info possibly confirming this on several other webshops, their distributor only provided a list of August releases I'm afraid.

Italian releases are a bit whimsical,we'll have to wait and see (and hope for a new transfer).

I don't think William Rose directed too many other movies.

I need to rewatch that one, don't remember anything except for Rosalba Neri but the version I watched (way back) was bad quality and maybe edited.

I recently noticed there's an Italian blu btw (Not English friendly apparently).
