Cool

...When you go to a new years eve party in the late 80s having been told to bring some gory horror videos, so you show up with 'Ferox' only to discover that a number of guests are involved in the animal rights movement and like a stoned idiot you put the tape in and sit back with not even a thought of the chaos that will ensue in about half an hour, and your exit from said party. Ah... the good old days.

On a similar note, I have to correct people when they refer to Frankenstein's Monster as Frankenstein himself. It annoys me, because it's the monster, Frankenstein is the one who made him. I know, I'm a pedant. Or when someone gets a film title wrong and not only do I have to correct them, but I also feel compelled to rattle off the production credits, the year it was made, the background to the film, and how it fits into the genre.

The funny thing was, I was so out of it I remember bigging it up to em and looking forward to watching it again and being suprised when someone hit the stop button on the remote, to thier credit only a harsh "dickhead" came my way from an ex squadie(funny how many of those are in that movement) but it was time to go and no mistake.

I'm not a big fan of Ferox but that is funny.

You know you're a horror fan when you disagree with Mark Kermode for saying ZFE is boring.

You know you're a horror fan when several of your friends on facebook are actors in obscure films.

....when you play the title theme from CH on your radio programme (still training....) and have to spend 10 minutes describing the film to unbelieving 17 year olds (you should have seen her face when I described Audition as a love story....)

... when you put broken glass in the pocket of that guy at work who said he really got into 'The Piano Techer'?
Actually no, that's when you realise you like chic Euro-arthouse. Actually no, who am I kidding, that's when you realise everyone else is a sad, life hating tosser! (self deprecating satire included at this point)
