I have the first 70 or 80 issues of Darkside but I gave up as I felt the magazine had become quite poor (at least compared to the early issues). I have a bunch of SHIVERS and FEAR (anyone remember that?) as well as tons of FANGORIA and GOREZONE and thousands of comics. These days though, a tight budget (and the internet) means I don't buy magazines anymore.

Anyone remember the A5 magazines/booklets Tim Greaves(I think), used to put out about Hammer Starlets and anything to do with 70s lesbian vampire cinema.

He did indeed, called: "The Lina Romay File:The Intimate Confessions of an Exhibitionist".

The other ones I own are:

"Vampyres" (the film)
Veronica Carlson
Linda Hayden
Madeline Smith
"Daughters of the Night:Carmilla on the Screen"
Luan Peters

and two about Yutte Stengaard

I've also got similar booklets on Valerie Leon and Brigitte Lahaie

I have just given around 30 Gorezone UK mags away. Not worth the storage space.

Cool

Jeez, that brings back memories. Used to have loads of 'Famous monsters', started buying em when I was a kid in the U.S. in the 70s, had all the first 25 'Fangoria', but my fave was 'Monster Times' a monthly newspaper style mag that came with a cool full-sized poster, now the sad part, I lost all of em in a move in the mid 80s never to be seen again. Some of the early 'Famous Monsters' were expensive even in mid 70s, god knows what their worth today. (sigh)

I was two issues in to a twelve issue Darkside subscription when they folded. I emailed them yesterday asking whether they were honouring subscriptions. I got a very quick reply saying that although they're published by a different company now they are honouring subscriptions.

So if anyone is in the same boat, pop them an email. They're very nice!

Did they send you the new look issue when it came out recently? or were they hoping you had forgotten about your subscription until you mailed them.

Yeah, if I'd never mailed them I don't think I'd have seen the issues.
