I have Emanuelle In America. And thought the snuff scenes where shocking, violent, realistic and well filmed. But the snuff themed scenes only last a few seconds.

Personally, I found the film as a whole, a bore.

8mm is obviously the first film that springs to mind.

Tesis is absolutely brilliant - and watch for the guy with the Cannibal Holocaust t-shirt.

Effects is an astonishing film. It unravels slowly, but it does get under your skin. The first half seems like a buddy movie with everyone bonding and making a movie together. But at the halfway point, when the director screens a snuff movie for the crew, things take a decidedly sinister turn. Absolute brilliance and it's criminal that it went unseen for so long.

Doesn't the final segment of Cradle of Fear revolve around snuff or something? My memory is hazy, perhaps someone else can fill in the gaps.

After some digging around have found out that there is a 2011 re-mastered edition available on amazon.com for $20. That's a little bit easier on the wallet, at least .

I think I may have to pick up the Synapse release of Effects; it sounds intriguing.
