Get in there!!

Just thought I would swing in and say my vote goes to Lost Boys as well, I love both films but Lost Boys was a film I watched a lot growing up and the soundtrack was not too bad either.

New debate

The Wicker Man 1973 vs The Wicker Man 2007.

For me its easy, Cage's film is far superior.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 16th May 2011 06:36 PM

Now,now that's NASTY! ;)

I just wanted to hear your teeth grind.

The 2007 film is just horrible, sorry i've got blisters on my eyes at the thought of rewatching Cage the giant rabbit. :(

bgart13 16th May 2011 06:40 PM

No contest - NEAR DARK. It uses a Cramps tune, has Bill Paxton and Lance Henricksen in it.

Screw it im in my vote goes to The Lost Boys.

I love the soundtrack and the Corys. Brings back many many great memories from when i was a kid. Its a great fun film no matter what anyone says ANYONE I SAY.

Im not saying After Dark is a bad film i really really like it but Lost Boys just edges it for me.

Looks like The Lost Boys is back in the race.

Rik 24th October 2013 09:02 PM

trebor8273 24th October 2013 09:07 PM

I think both are great but if I have to choose the lost boys its just a lot more fun . And as been mentioned it has a fantastic soundtrack.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 24th October 2013 09:10 PM

Your tenner is in the post mate.:thumb:

Vastly prefer Near Dark. Its grim, its dark, its grity. Most of the people in favor of Lost Boys or are on the fence, seem to only call up nostalgic factors. I'd say take away the nostalgia and you would find an utterly boring series of events. I stand by what I said. Twilight for the 80's.

Can't see it as twilight I actually like the characters and they where real vampires not some god awful sparkling man children. Was only unfortunate enough to see the first twishite and that was enough for me I could of happily killed the entire cast!!

Nordicdusk 24th October 2013 09:19 PM

The tide has turned revolution is in the air.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 24th October 2013 09:20 PM

Give me the Corey's to Paxton's whinging performance anyday!
Henriksen should have ripped his head off near the start.

trebor8273 24th October 2013 09:21 PM

I think we can all agree that twilight is big pile of steaming poo! But that's a insult to poo.

And a far superior soundtrack!

People Are Strange by Echo & The Bunnymen - YouTube

The Lost Boys - Soundtrack - Cry Little Sister (Theme From The Lost Boys) - By Gerard McMann - YouTube

What you gonna do? Ban me? :tongue1:

In all seriousness, Lost Boys isn't AS bad as Twishite. But that doesn't make it good. If Twishite is explosive Diarrhea, then Lost Boys is constipation.
