Must admit, I did too Angel. In the end I decided to give it a bash anyway, probably gonna have to be in two sittings though. Don't think I could hack that running time all in one go.

Well, the Finns had it worse than the UK and German censorship combined up untill 2001. when the "K-18" rating was introduced for home entertainment.
Prior to that no "18" rated movies were allowed to be released on video. They had to be cut down to what their idea of a "K-16" was, eliminating thousends of titles from the get go, like "Hellraiser" for instance.
All that changed with the introduction of the DVD to the mass market and nowadays Finnish movie fans have basically a censorship-free life, with the expection of some movies featuring cuts made to satisfy the censors in another EU country.
Most of the recent wave of "gornos" (the ones which managed to get a Finnish release anyway) got a "K-18", while movies like "Scream", "Starship Troopers" or "Wanted" sail through with a "K-15".

Freakshow is out in the UK next month. Looking at the DVD cover it states "original uncut version".

Good to know. I might get the UK disc then, since it'll be most likely much cheaper than the Austrian counterpart.

BTW: I'll offer my thoughts on "Blackout" pretty soon in the reviews thread.
Certainly much better than I expected....

Philleh-no wonder you wanted shot of this!!!!!
Ha ha - It bored the hell out of me, mate! I usually enjoy Synapse's taste in titles, but that one was a snooze-fest... at an hour long! ha.

Nekro and Schramm are far worse - way too graphic!!

"Fatal Frames" anyone?

Possibly the worst giallo I ever had the misfortune to sit through...I should really revisit it...in my next life....

I think the original "Lucker" is a gem personally. The directors cut is bollocks.

I know, I think the directors cut should have been the extra though, not the original. The directors cut really is shite.
