Michael Myers is my favourite horror character, I've always been fascinated by him. Better than Freddy and Jason anyday IMO.

A few of my other favourites are-

Herbert West
Patrick Bateman
Leatherface
Jason Voorhees
Eastman as The Anthropophagus Beast
Francesco Dellamorte (Not a fan of Rupert Everett normally but I think he was fantastic in Dellamorte Dellamore, Superb performance. No one could have done that better than him)
Ash
Mike Logan from Ferox

Great thread BTW!

Well, here come my fave horror characters in no particular order:

-Peter Neal in "Tenebrae"

-Michael Myers (particularly in "Halloween I and II")

-Frank Zito in "Maniac"

-Joe, the Plumber in "The Beyond" (Yeah, there's something special about his Goofy-esque sounding dubbing and the mud face make up, particularly gripping reappearance in the bathtub!)

-Jerry Blake in "The Stepfather"

-Jason Voorhees (particularly in "Friday, the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter" and for the best look "Friday, the 13th Part VII: The New Blood")

- Dr. Channard in "Hellbound: Hellraiser II"

- Irwin Wallace in "Stagefright"

- The bearded berserkers played by George Eastman, scaring the hell out of me in "Anthropophagus" and "Absurd"

- Damien Thorn in the original "Omen" trilogy

- The running "zombies" of "Nightmare City"

- Father Thomas in "City of the living Dead"

- Candyman

- Carrie White

- Pluto in the original "The Hills Have Eyes"

- Krug and Company

Yeah, Jason looked great in Friday VII, I always personally preferred him as a character back when he was human in Parts 2, 3 and 4. I think he's much scarier in those ones when he actually chases people and can get injured and stuff. I really like how he looked in Part 2 aswell with the sack over his head, Very Creepy

I'm a big fan of Sack-Head Jason in Friday the 13th Part II. There's something a bit creepy about him which definitely gets lost in some of the later sequels.

As for my favourite horror character? Freddy Krueger in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street and Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a definite but I'm not a fan of Comedy Krueger!

Also on the list are:

1. Bub - Day of the Dead
2. Lord Summerisle - The Wicker Man
3. Sadako Yamamura - Ring
4. Michael Myers - Halloween
5. The Frankenstein Monster (Boris Karloff) - Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein
6. Cabman Gray - The Body Snatcher
7. Leatherface - The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Michael, of course!

But not Myers... I'm talking 'Michael' in 'Burial Ground'

I'm talking Peter Bark!!

Also... Vincent Price's 'Phibes', 'Lionheart' and best of all 'Matthew Hopkins' !

Lets throw MacReady from 'The Thing', Seth Brundle from 'The Fly', Lord Summerisle from 'The Wicker Man' and Jack (Griffin Dunne) from 'American Werewolf In London' in there as well.

I liked 'Cropsy' in The Burning and Neville Brands character in Death Trap.

Not forgetting Bill Hinzman. The 1st on screen Zombie in NOTLD.
I guess he was the first of the modern zombie's.
