Apparently the original ending for the Hammer film "To The Devil...A Daughter" was supposed to feature Father Michael Rayner (Christopher Lee) holding a metal spear and being struck by lightning, but it was changed because it was too similar to Dracula's death in "Scars of Dracula"

If you ask me, they should have kept the ending, and scrapped the rest of the film!
