BWP didn't scare me at all, I personally think it would have been scarier if I'd actually caught a glimpse of the witch.

I used to cover my eyes during this scene when watching both cinema and subsequent TV screenings for many years until i accustomed myself to it!

The jail cell jolt works better imo but the above sequence still shivers the spine make no mistake.

A superior scare this and one of the hair-raising highlights of the film imo. You never see it comin'!

Another solid shock scene worthy of all-time great consideration.

You said it and the movie also did absolutely nothing for me.

The 'Hospital bed-in-the-forest' dream sequence in An American Werewolf In London, Cheryl getting all 'possessive' for the first time in The Evil Dead and the 'Little boy-in-the-hallway' scene in Mario Bava's Shock. All these jump 'n' jolt moments work brilliantly too imo.

I'd blanked this from my mind because it frightened me so much when I saw it on TV as a kid. If I have nightmares, I'll know who to blame.

Sorry, I have no idea how to embed the videos.
YES! Scared the living shit out of me when I was six or seven... almost as much as the front cover of 'The Weekend Book of Horror'!
