There is a big difference between killing an animal for food and killing an animal for entertainment. Guess which one is not right.

Some people just seem to get really upset about it. I'm really not bothered by it.

Actually kinda related. Anyone have any idea where to get Reise Nach Agatis from? Has it even been released on DVD?

That is bullshit. Killing for food is a whole different thing. No living thing should be tortured or killed for the sake of 'entertainment'. Never.

And anyone who thinks that it's ok needs to have a serious word with themselves.

I also find it a bit depressing that in this day and age animals are still killed for the sake of a film. I think that in the case of the Italian cannibal gut munchers I can kind of separate myself from them because these are films of a bygone age and, in the case of Deodato at least, the directors have expressed regret at having included such footage.

It's a tricky one. But I'll continue to watch and enjoy the cannibal flicks even if I don't agree with their methods. At least the animals are famous and won't be forgotten. So think of them as animal tribute films.

I can't say that this sounds like something i'd want to see whatsoever. But at the same time i'd be a bit of a hypocrite to condemn it considering i own virtually every Italian cannibal film ever made completely uncut.

Sounds like the kind of thing my poncy "film snob" mate would wet himself over, whilst dissing my "enjoyment" of say, Life & Death of A Porno Gang (which has animal abuse in it as well.....)

i'm sure if you showed some "civillians" Srpski, they would think that that scene was real as well.

But for me, PASS. Men Behind The Sun was bad enough imo. Indeed in this day and age "being confrontational" has replaced any real attempt at substance, at least CH has a point to it, so in my mind it's justified, that is its been done, lets not rake over cold ash etc....

Really wish someone would log in who watched this recently and review it and compare it to a Serbian film.
