I've always really liked Cat in the Brain/Nightmare Concert. I just think it was ahead of its time and people didn't 'get' it. It's way ahead of Scream in terms of being post-modern and referential. It's Fulci analysing what he does and putting it on film in a playful kind of way - whilst having a sly dig at censors and censorship. I really like it.

I like it because it has all the qualities you mention whilst being at the same time a totally exploitative, cheaply put together knock off. Gutter level abjection has rarely been so high-minded, and I can imagine Lucio smirking all the way through it. A true mind-boggler and an all time fave.

I also really like Cat in the Brain.

Too many of us like it for it to be in this thread.

I also agree with MTDS regarding Snuff.

When i first saw it last year i hated it, but i'm now hankering to see it again.

Yeah. I don't understand why people don't like it. It makes me proud to be British. Such a quality horror film.

I'm fully aware of how crap it is, but for some weird reason I enjoy Hills have eyes 2 (origional)

Perhaps its the concept of a flashback from a dogs perspective...
