Of course, but if you want to read the original stories this is the volume to get. I should point out that like most of Howard's work, the racism in the book is pretty shocking.

ok not that familiar with The Birth of a Nation,but looked it up

I actually really like the film. It's not great, but the idea of being a vampire rock star kind of appealed to me, as it did in the book.
