I did, working as an apprentice electrician with older guys introduced me to a lot of music I hadn't heard before, Hawkwind, early Floyd, Gong etc.

I got a Hawkeind overdose from my dad throughout these years and so it's only natural that I have grown to love them. They also gave a certain Ian Killminster his claim to fame.

Agreed

Bloody kids of today, with their rap and their hippety hop music

You try explaining to them that REAL R&B are bands like The Stones, The Yardbirds, The Small Faces, The Who and The Kinks etc, and what do they counter with? "Nah! R&B is fings like Lauren Hill, Boyz2Men and Snoop Doggedy Dog-Dog. Ha, that's you owned, you oldie!!!"

Bring back National Service I say!
