Miike is one of a handful of modern directors who has the power to shock the audience.

Visitor Q is messed up. Audition is a masterpice!

I've only seen a few but so far been very impresssed.

First one I saw was Imprint. Thought it was decent enough.Had heard so much about it first so I think I expected more!

Loved Ichi the killer. defo lived up to expectations
Visitor Q was strange but really enjoyed it.
Audition was very very creepy.
Have One Missed Call but haven't watched it.

Takeshi Miike's "Sukiyaki Western Django " is well worth tracking down. A film shot in English for some strange reason.

I saw this in a shop and was going to pick it up. Any idea if the English is easy to follow? Not being bad against the Japanese but I'm sure i read somewhere that their accents were terrible in the film.

Some of the actors had learned their lines phonetically as they didn't speak English, but I didn't find it hard to understand. I believe there is a subtitle option anyway if you need it.
