Not bad, it seemed to improve as it went along, some nice gore fx in places. The ending came as a surprise to me as i had forgotten the opening scene.
I haven't seen this since it was at the cinema but I remember thinking it was one of the nastiest and most brutal films I'd seen in ages.

Two things puzzle me: how did he buy all that stuff without attracting attention and how did he set up all those traps in such a short time?!

That's far from the best giallo ever made, but it is brilliantly sleazy, trashy and with some genuinely good murder scenes -- even the title is sleazy! I reckon it has more shots of J&B whiskey than any giallo I've seen.

He should be an interior decorator -- he'd make a fortune. I doubt many clients would stand for the pounding metal soundtrack though!

I thought the ending left the door wide open for a sequel but didn't know they'd made one. I hope it doesn't just follow the exact same formula albeit with a different 'obstacle' him to overcome was going about his torture/murder/collecting business and introduces something a bit new, a little like Saw 2 did. However, being formulaic didn't seem to hurt the Friday the 13th franchise in terms of commercial success, did it?!

Yes i was thinking along the same lines.

All i could come up with was - it obviously wasn't the first time he had done it due to the body in the box at the start of the film. I guess practice makes perfect.

Would you know where to buy gallons of acid and glue without anyone asking any questions? I wouldn't!

You could use the same argument about all the Saw movies as I really wouldn't know where to buy the stuff to make those contraptions but I imagine the huge home supply stores in the US could probably kit you out.

I get all mine off Kyle.

Seriously though, i suppose if you are twisted enough to do the deed in the first place then you would probably look a bit further than yellow pages.
