Cushing VS Lee

Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee,two LEGENDS of horror and fantastic cinema.Amicus,Hammer and many many other films, would simply have never been the same. Now here's a belter of a question, who's the best?;)

Cushing JUST edges it for me,it seems he always had a lot more line in films.
Lee is ICONIC in the Dracula role, but who is more evil, him or Van Helsing?
Just look at the way Cushing pounds in that stake in DRACULA......;)

Peter Cushing. A better all-round actor & gentleman.

Peter Cushing was slightly better I think. Also with Christopher Lee, lovely bloke and that but why the **** is he always slagging horror off?

Cushing just steals this for his marvellous Van Helsing & his moving performance as Arthur Grimsdyke in Tales From The Crypt.Lee was great as Dracula & also made a great villain in Man With The Golden Gun & The Musketeer films of Richard Lester.

As a complete contrast to his later roles check out the 1960 Cone Of Silence with Bernard Lee. Cushing played a snotty and arrogant airline pilot and his performance is quite a stunner.

Outside of Dracula,(which I understand,he despises),his finest hour was playing Lord Summerisle in THE WICKER MAN.
I though playing Count Duckoo would grate more than playing Count Dracula, the role in which,I dare say, made him an international star.
I'm sure it was the commentary on SHOCKWAVES,that all agreed Cushing was the perfect gentleman, and a pleasure to work with.

Lee was also excellent in The Devil Rides Out.
