Default Jennifer Lynch - BBC Interview

Head over to iPlayer for an interview with Chained director Jennifer Lynch.

BBC iPlayer - Film 2013: Episode 2

This feature is only available until Wednesday night. In case you miss it, here are some key quotes from the filmmaker:

"Chained is in my opinion is a story about how monsters are really made and it's the tale of serial killer who drives a taxi cab, who picks up a fare, a mother & son, and takes them home instead of their required destination."

"He ends up killing the mum and keeping the boy for 10 years and it's the story of that experience."

"I wanted to explore the dynamic between the man & the boy and try and figure out exactly why this man was doing what he was doing and maybe create a dialogue about child abuse and why humans do bad things."

"Evan Bird is an incredible actor and yes, he's a child. So if he ever felt badly or or wanted to change something he had the room to do that always."

"I don't think anybody needs to be tortured in order to look like their being tortured."

"It is, for some people, a very tough watch. But I think it's a horrific, psychological thriller."
