I wasn't aware Boss Nass had directed any films which homaged Hitch . . .

Hitchcock was a fat b**tard

End of subject

*Note - yes, I love most of his films and television shows!

Like me. And Patrick Moore.

Anyway, that profile shot of Hopkins as Hitch is pretty good, but front on the resemblance is none. Let's be fair though, De Niro didn't look like La Motta and PSH looks nothing like Capote, but they still absolutely nailed it.

It's all about the performance! And in the trailers I've seen for the HBO film, Toby Jones has done a cracking job.

I dunno, it all seems a bit of a non-story to me - rich guy had a bit of trouble making a film - whoopy do! Plus based on the trailer footage reckon I'd struggle to see Hopkins as anything other than Hopkins in a fat suit and dodgy makeup - I'd forgotten he doesn't do accents! The Toby Jones HBO film looks as though there might be more substance there . . .

Speaking of Hitch, I always thought Frenzy was his answer to the cinematic challenge Powell issued with Peeping Tom.

So did anyone watch The Girl last night? Good to see both Toby Jones and Sienna Miller recognised in the Golden Globe nominations . . .
