I did, boy was it a hard watch for a fan of Hitchcock's films.

I know! Though I found it oddly thrilling how far it went with the total character assassination! I viewed it as a drama rather than docu-drama. Loved how the South African locations standing in for Hollywood gave everything an artificial, dreamlike quality . . .

The Beeb done good too last night. The Girl, followed by Rebecca, followed by Paul Merton Looks at Alfred Hitchcock, followed by Mr and Mrs Smith But yeah, The Birds would've been the obvious choice to follow . . .

Following Tippi Hedren's revelation that Hitchcock used to sexually harass her.

Was everyone in the entertainment industry a pervy lech or was it because times were different and things that happened at the time which seemed okay are now frowned upon or is it just a case of people who aren't famous anymore trying to sell a book?

It thinks it's probably a bit of all those things, I bet the 50's & 60's were hard times for aspiring actresses, meaning they were willing to let stuff go just to further their careers
