Alfred Hitchcock movies

Has anyone here got the R2 release of Alfred Hitchcock's last film Family Plot (which is part of The Hitchcock Collection)? What is the picture quality like? DVD Compare says the re-release's picture is a bit improved (sharper), but not much. It also says the Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection boxset has a bonus disc with exclusive extras.

I have the Hitchcock Collection boxed set and I am slowly working my way through it but I haven't got to "Family Plot" yet. I've got such a backlog of things to watch now it is getting frightening.

Frenzy is another masterpiece.

FRENZY is my favourite Hitchcock movie closely followed by PSYCHO and REAR WINDOW. TOPAZ aside I don't think Hitchcock made a bad film really though one I've never been able to warm to is THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY.

I like Hitchcock but unfortunately his films remind me of my slippery slide in to depression:(

Got Rear Window and Frenzy recorded from Sky HD. They look absolutely incredible in high definition. Fantastic films.

I've got a Hitchcock collection that comes in two volumes that's very good quality too.

I watched "Frenzy" again last night and it still ranks up there amongst Hitchcock's best for me. The mix of shock tactics with the first rape/murder scene and the perfectly timed comedy with the Police Inspector and his wife are typical of Hitch. Absolutely brilliant stuff. :)

The look on Michael Bates face as he samples his tequila (or 'te-kwee-ah' as Vivian Merchant pronounces it) is priceless. As is Alec McCowen's vain attempt to eat roast quail & grapes. :D

Still to watch the SE of VERTIGO......any good?
