Rik, don't, you'll set me off

I can't put into words how absolutely devastated I am, he was a hero of mine when I was growing up, and he still is.

I'm so glad he managed to make The Hobbit Trilogy.

There aren't many left from the golden days, which is depressing.

RIP

Wow!

It actually feels like someone i know has died. The news has given me that hollow feel in my stomach.

What an actor...

What a career...

What a man...

What a legend!

RIP Sir Christopher.

This is really sad news. Mind you, I think Christopher must have had a fantastic life that many would be envious of, and he lived to a ripe old age. I'll remember him by watching and enjoying his many movie performances until the day I pop off. RIP, Sir Christopher, and please give Peter and Vincent our warmest regards.

I'm devastated by the news – truly saddened, which doesn't often happen with 'celebrity' deaths, but he's been part of my life.

I wrote to him in January, telling of my admiration and asking for him to sign some photographs and film stills, and have been patiently waiting for five months. That wait has ended.

If I hadn't just started reading To Kill a Mockingbird this morning, I would now be reading Lord of Misrule.

No words to describe how I feel absolutely gutted. R.I.P Christopher, a true legend and a gentleman that has touched so many life's including many of us here in a positive way

Bought this recently but never got around to watching it. Seems like the right day to get it out of its wrapper. RIP
