Try and see the directors cut. The version released in theatres was butchered by Dimension. The full Craven version works much better.
Is that the version on the British DVD?

I saw it on region 1 unrated. I think the uk disc has the same cut. Dimension are known for wrecking directors work. Mimic and darkness falls are two other examples

The UK dvd of Cursed is the PG-13 theatrical version I'm afraid.

Thanks – I'll bear that in mind when I'm watching the DVD from Lovefilm and think about importing the R1 disc.

I ordered it today, so hopefully it will arrive soon and I'll think it was better than when I saw it in the cinema in 2005.

I had no idea the uk Dvd of Cursed was cut and as I enjoyed the film I too have ordered the R1 unrated disc shown. Thanks for the heads up! look forward to seeing the "proper" unrated version.

Default serpent

After recently re-watching The Serpent and the rainbow on blu, I was really impressed with how well this film stood the test of time .And although it use's a lot of dream sequences , there's so many genuinely creepy scenes that its my fav Craven only 2nd by Hills Have Eyes, certainly prefer it over Nightmare and Scream franchise. Just a shame his legacy will be his more recent stuff and films like Last House will be over looked by the mainstream media.RIP WES
