My mate won this for just over £20 on eBay on Sunday, I've never seen any of the episodes before so when he's got through it all, he's gonna lend me it.

Yea it's £22 in a local shop near me. (Cheaper than Amazon.)

I think that is what he paid, I told him to try Amazon but he refuses to buy from them since he found out they don't pay tax

Yeah, it's one of those shows I've been meaning to check out for years, I remember it being on at the time but I was too young to watch it being only 11 or 12 at the time.

Even knowing the killer, it's still a great watch (imo). I tend to try and watch my boxset at least once a year.

Thanks for the reply bizarre_eye. We seem to agree on a lot, so might pick it up next week if it's still there.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. It's not what I'd call a mega-twist, and considering the circumstances surrounding the reveal (can't say too much for spoilers) I personally say the revealing of the "killer" is somewhat incidental in order to add some finality, and not really what it's about.

With Twin Peaks, it really IS the journey. And there's plenty more to the story than the central "Who killed Laura Palmer?" question the series initially hinges on. The ongoing mystery becomes bigger than that.

Re-watching it, it's almost better knowing who the killer is because you can see the decline of the character with different eyes. In my opinion that's no reason to not watch it - take a chance you're going to love it

(I'm biased since it's by far my favourite TV series ever!)

Ultimately, Twin Peaks isn't really about who killed Laura Palmer, at least not in my opinion, there's much more to it than that. It really is an essential show and I can't recommend it highly enough, I've been through it at least four times and might start it again soon.
