ok, thanks to the reccomendation my blu-ray boxset of encounters at the end of the world showed up yesterday, just under £13 with free postage so not bad at all, blu-ray really does his work justice.

I think Herzog is a great filmmaker and I actually really enjoyed Bad Lieutenant, although my favourite is probably Lessons of Darkness. I like he way he tries to use people from the locations he films. Also I read he once ate his shoe... |

He's also extremely funny and enjoys sending up his own reputation as witnessed in Incident At Loch Ness. Hilarious moments of Herzog humour every time he meets someone with a beard! Well worth watching if you can track down the Region 1 DVD. Not sure it its been shown on TV in a late slot sometime?!
