'Andy Warhol's Horror Pictures.

I've only seen one of Andy Warhol's films, Flesh for Frankenstein, which I thought was great fun with a typically and suitably over the top performance by Udo Kier ("To understand life, Otto, you must **** it -- in ze gall bladder!"). I've had a copy on order for ages so really must chase it up or buy it from somewhere else and then check out the other Warhol/Morrisey films.

Any of you seen "Andy Warhol's 'BAD'"? Not horror, but a brilliantly outrageous black comedy in the style of John Waters, I've got a tatty old rental (!!) VHS of it, bloody great film.

I love these films, they're great. FRANKENSTEIN may be the more notorious of the two but, IMO, DRACULA is definitely better. Still, you can't have one without the other and the more I've seen FRANKENSTEIN the more I've enjoyed it.

I agree, Paul, I think BLOOD is the better of the two. I think some people (not anyone here, though, I hasten to add) miss the point sometimes that these are incredibly black comedies. Gory fun. I love 'em both.

we all know Warhol had nothing to do with the films
just publicity as Paul Morrissey said as Warhol wasn't a fim maker in the first place, he didn't know what was what, a case of signing his name and that was that
FFF is imo better that BFD

Both were on Film4 a few years ago, might show up again, they're suited to late night 'relaxed' ahem viewing almost Ambient-like, and we must mention Joe's Brooklyn/Euro accent in both films, I like the look of FFF over BFD and needless to say a double bill no-brainer.

I was introduced to these films during my English studies. We got a pretty interesting new professor who offered a Pop Prose seminar for the beginners and a Horror seminar for the advanced students, I was only in my second semester, but asked if I could join the Horror seminar too, I was allowed but with a hint that if it became too packed, I would be asked to leave - it got pretty packed so I asked him after 2 weeks or so and he declined my offer to leave as he did not want to lose the expert Anyway, I digress, but up on the menu were these two films and I remember that I noticed a similarity of the laboratory of Dr Frankenstein in FfF and that of Dr Frankenfurter in The Rock Horror Picture Show...

A BD release would be bought, naturally!

I thought it looked great, and the 3D was pretty decent - given that anaglyph 3D doesn't really work very well in home video. I had no complaints. It looked a damn sight better than the 3D rendering of Piranha 3D on Blu-Ray did!

Love both. FFF has some of the greatest "worst" dialogue i've had the (mis)fortune to hear, the dinner sequence comes to mind here.

BFD is the better film, like a Franco flick directed with a blindfold haha, as i've a blind spot where Mr Kier is concerned, he can do no wrong in my book, and boy does he set a new level for scenery chewing in this rather tawdry tale, in fact im off to watch it again! Cheers!
