Default What horror actors were typecast?

How many horror actors can you think of that ended up typecast?

For example,Christopher Lee has made HUNDREDS of films, but will always be remembered as Dracula.

Peter Cushing as well, will probably be best remembered as Baron Frankenstein, closely followed by Van Helsing.

Paul Naschy as Valderwhatshisname.....

You get the picture....who else?

Gotta have Karloff and Lugosi in the list.

Boris Karloff will always be Frankenstein but kind of ended up more typecast as the mad doctor character.

Bela Lugosi could never shake the Dracula tag and didn't help himself by acceptng poverty row parts to play vampires.

Lon Chaney Jr will always be The Wolf Man who spent most of his career after in horror films.

I've got a nice jokey one..

Michael Ripper!

That guy must have been in nearly every '60's or 70's Hammer or Amicus film. Whether he was a copper, a pub landlord, shopkeeper or whatever, you can almost gaurantee his face is going to pop up with some dodgy cockney accent.

I recently watched Lugosi in OLD MOTHER RILEY MEETS THE VAMPIRE, though he plays a mad scientist he's still called "The Vampire".

Robert Englund as Freddy

David Hess would find it hard shaking off his evil rapist tag. Even when he's singing he is still kinda scary.

Yeah,Hess will always be associated with that sort of image.

Did he not say once, that someone was staring at him very warily on the subway or something?

John Morghen/Giovanni Lombardo Radice was always typecast as someone who had to die a messy onscreen death.

Kane Hodder will always be Jason - basically because he's shit at everything else (bar being a fine stuntman).

Doug Bradley will always be Pinhead and whatever he's in I always think 'Oh look, it's Pinhead.

Edwige Fenech will always be 'that naked lady in those Italian films'.
