Have you come across the warner R2 release of King Boxer? It has a cracking commentary by QT.

Thats the one! It ranks up there with the RZA (of the Wu-Tang Clan) track on 36 Chambers of Shaolin. Another must have if you don't already have it.

I heard that that commentary track was full of mis-information.

But for some strange reason that's acceptable. Just like if a black comedian does white jokes it's ok but if a white comedian does black jokes he's labelled a racist.

Spike Lee definately has a chip on his shoulder, even in Summer of Sam he can't resist getting something in there.

What was it that you heard was wrong? He (QT) was joined by David Chute and Elvis Mitchell and they seemed (to my ears) to be fonts of information. Inspector, while I've got your attention, I know you love your asian films, you wouldn't know of any dvd release of a film called "The Beasts"? Its a kind of asian Last House on the Left. I saw it about 20 years ago and have never forgotten it. I have been trying to track down the uk video for years to no avail. It seems to be rarer than hens teeth. cheers!

I can't remember to be honest, all I recall is that apparently he chats a load of nonsense on it.

As for The Beasts there is a Hong Kong dvd, I got mine from ddd house, looks like they still have it in stock

You'd be lucky to get that U.K. tape though, there is also a Dutch tape that's rare but not as rare as the U.K. one.
