Top 5 Argento films for me are;
1: Suspiria
2: Opera
3: Phenomena
4: Deep Red
5: Sleepless

Quite easily my favourite director - generally speaking I love his films, although wasn't particularly impressed with The Card Player or Trauma. I haven't got around to seeing Giallo yet.

Suspiria and Tenebrae are the awesome one! Love suspiria!! The soundtrack is amazing!!

only had Bird on 4:3 vhs for YEARS so the BU 2 dscr was a fecking revelation...Suspiria precisely because of the, shall we say, slackness of logic and colour, my god the colour...Inferno is Inferno enough said...well sue me but i LIKE Trauma...Mother of Tears was just a film by argento, not an Argento film if you know what i mean....

Hamish, I quite like Trauma ... although I HATE the music. With Goblin or similar sounding music, it would come across so much better. The holding the severed head in front of the face lark was a bit daft though!

indeed, though il sit through Trauma again...not something i can say about the last 5 he's made...IMO.

I haven't seen all of the titles listed yet but of the ones I've seen I liked The Bird with the Crystal Plumage best.
