My favourite Tim Burton film is Ed Wood though. Love that film so much.
Gotta love Ed Wood! It is such a film lovers film.

I think Batman Returns is more rewatch able than the first one. I find the first one the more Campy of the two, the garish colors, the music, and Nicholson doing his best or worse Ceaser Romero. Keaton, though, knocks it out of the park in both!

I must say the only one of his films that I'm really not too keen on is Planet of the Apes, everything else is consistently good. My favourite is, without doubt, Edward Scissorhands but I love both Batman films, Ed Wood and Mars Attacks.

Never seen a Burton film I didn't like.

Though I should point out that I have conspicuously avoided ever seeing Planet Of The Apes and Alice In Wonderland.

So glad there is finally a Burton thread, he is probably one of my favourite directors, his film style is absolutely unmistakable. I think myy favourite is edward scissorhands, because it is such an interesting way to depict the world and someones perspective. I am a big big Depp fan, I like him in every role. However I think Burtons one mistake was having Depp in Sweeney Todd, because I think there would have been someone with a stronger voice for the role. (not that Depp isnt still very good)

ALICE isn't great but at least it looks like a Burton film and is fun for a mindless watch. It's all too evident that Burton joined APES at the eleventh hour as it's bereft of almost any of his signature flourishes.

Ed Wood is my favourite, and when I watched Edward Scissorhands again as an adult, I was floored with how personal and painful a film it is in places. I didn't really like Alice in Wonderland though, I thought the CGI was poor, and the pandering to children/Disney nauseating. "Look Mummy, the funny man did a funny dance!"

Ed Wood is my favourite and will always remember going to see Batman at the cinema, the first 12 film if I remember right. Love all his films! My wife got his autograph as part of my Christmas this year and hope to get that framed and up on the wall soon.

It would be nice to see a special edition Blu Ray of Ed Wood!

Tim Burton's version of 'Hansel And Gretel' (1982). Apparently this was only screened once, and that was on Halloween night in 1983
