I had an email last week from Cigarette Burns as i am on the mailing list about the launch of the book Murderous Passions - The Delirious Cinema of Jesus Franco. Cigarette Burns presents... Lots of stuff to be honest, I told you there were irons on the fire. Tickets are not on sale yet, but we're super pleased to be hosting the launch of Stephen Thrower's much anticipated Murderous Passions - The Delirious Cinema of Jesus Franco. Following on from his definitive book on Lucio Fulci, Thrower takes us through the life and films of Jess Franco. We'll be screening Severin Films' newly remaster presentation of Franco classic Vampyros Lesbos with an introduction from Thrower himself, at the Prince Charles Cinema on 29th of June - Tickets on sale soon. g053584398 and Justin101 like this.  |

And what a print it is. Severin have done a first class job here. I remember watching Vampyros Lesbos on Channel Four one Friday night back in 2000! That showing on TV was of the 'Vipco variety'!

Your wait shouldn't be long now guys, Stephen Thrower just posted this update on Facebook: "They're here! Boxes and boxes of the MURDEROUS PASSIONS Special Edition, delivered to the office of Strange Attractor! Julian Grainger and I have now signed them and copies will be available to buy at the launch event on Monday evening at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Place (just off Leicester Square). I've also been informed that the Regular Edition arrives tomorrow at the distributors, which means orders through Amazon UK and other outlets will be on their way to customers some time next week! Apologies once again for the delays, I've been in an agony of anxiety about the long wait. I really hope it hasn't been too unbearable for those patient souls who made payment when we first started taking pre-orders last year. My deepest thanks to you all."
