Default William Castle

Probably one of the greatest showmen in Hollywood history, William Castle brought us such classics as The Tingler, House On Haunted Hill, and 13 ghosts, not to mention those great gimmicks of his like Illusion-O, Percept-O, and Emerg-O.

Ballyhoo aside, his films are actually quite good, imo. The move along at a good clip and don't skimp on the shocks/thrills.

There was also a very good documentary made on him a few years back called, Spine Tingler: The William Castle story, which I recommend very highly.

I'm surprised nobody else has commented. I love William Castle, one of my favourites has to be Strait-Jacket.

That documentary is very interesting, it seems to be shown on Sky Arts quite often!
