Horror's Greatest Female Characters
 

The Pact (out now!) is the ghost equivalent of The Descent. A chilling thriller with a strong female cast - these aren't your typical scream queens. They're hard-headed, strong, independent and powerful women.

So, here's a thread dedicated to your fav females in horror. Sure, there's the screaming, sex-obsessed, super dumb bimbo characters, but then there are characters like The Pact's Annie, Ripley, the ladies of The Descent, Silence Of The Lambs Clarice Starling, Carrie, heck even Regan!

I think Clare Higgins as Julia Cotton in Hellraiser II is a fantastic character - Hellbound would have been a better film if they concentrated on her... As an actress she really sells the half-finished flesh and blood creation in the early scenes of the film...

I really like Zoe Lund in Ms. 45 - just because her performance is heart-breaking... she's like a ghost in that film...

Don't mean to be a smart-arse, but Clare Higgins didn't play skinless Julia, it was Deborah Joel, great character though :)

For me, I'm gonna go for Marilyn Burns in TCM, she really goes through some serious shit at the back end of that film!

Yep, you're right of course Rik, fair dues... I still think she's great in the film though...

Yeah, Marilyn Burns, she's gorgeous in TCM...I love those bellbottoms.
