The alternate covers are always the biz Reaps, one of the big selling points. But my (and others) concern is how the main sleeve will look on the shelves in the likes of HMV etc? It looks a little cheap and sleazy, and does the great film no favours. We (the Arrow fans) know how incredible it will be inside, but not every casual shopper will be reading this forum.

Maybe it's 'sleazy' look will attract some shoppers who wouldn't normally go for an intense and thought-provoking movie like this one. Only time will tell I guess but people who have seen Inferno will buy this no matter what the cover art looks like.

Who knows, this may influence whether Deep Red gets a Blu-ray release -- the more sales, the better!

Most of the casual buyers I see are normally teenage girls buying whatever 15 cert MTV style thing has just been released or middle aged men in socks and sandals! The socks and sandals men will lap this up, literally I imagine.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of dvds/blus are sold through shops compared to online for Arrow and Shameless releases.

Physical shops still have the edge when it comes to sales - by a big margin - hence the focus with Shameless and then Arrow on arresting packaging.
