sounds grand, i'm only around the 500 mark so far, but sounds real good, but only if meg gets killed off in episode 1.

couldn't stand that self-righteous character. Margo needs to make a reappearance too... and possibly Noleen for the fun factor!

YESS! Bea needs to return too...they could easily say that her death was a set up and that she had been sent into witness protection or something, LOL!

Bea, Chrissie, Monnie, Rita, Tina, Lorna, Joanie, Joycie, Vera, Noleen, Judy, Pixie, Helen...would be fabulous!

And maybe Judy and the freak could fall in love? hahahahahahaha!

You don't like Meg? I'm on a like and hate thing with her. I like her because she's the nicest screw at Wentworth, but then sometimes she makes me hate her the way she carries on. As for margo, she's played by a very good actress and yes it would be good to see her again and Noeline too.

Margo indeed was played by a very good actress, the crazier she got, the bigger and wilder her hair got lol, as for meg... meh, almost every storyline ive seen of her has annoyed me...
3 examples are:
1. when she was a social worker,
2. when she was involved with men such as Bob, Greg and that parolee that she was coming onto (the really bad actor) and many others and when she was stripped to her camisole by that psycho friend of her sons.
3. when she was on the other side of the bars. after that she was ever more annoying and "prisoner's best friend"

and she was always annoying Joan.

yes, she may not be my MOST hated but she's defo on the list, though i understand why some people like her, and i guess they needed at least one consistently good screw.

LOL thinking about the man you're talking about, It was the one that screamed "I hate you all!" while shaking his fists at the barroom. And I felt sorry for her when she was raped by those two creeps that Angel, the girl with the baby voice and was a psycho got them to do. And she wasn't a very good crier. I guess that's why they never gave her many crying scenes. And Yes Margo's hair did look crazy when she was crazy.

i haven't quite got as far as her actual rape... im only around episode 500... she was a terrible actress... husbands just been stabbed and instead of helping shes moaning (badly) ARE U SATISFIED (u should hear the voice i use when saying that - its reminiscent of carolines mother) bad bad bad! lol, yes, i can see why it lasted as long as it did - meg that is - but it shouldn't have... how many knocks to the head did she receive? so unrealistic! lol, defo on my most hated list lol.

Too true. Although she is undoubtedly one of the most recognisable characters from the show, I believe she only appeared in as few as a hundred or so episodes.

It's a shame really, because when she left for the last time in '82 it had always been her intention to return to the show at a later date.

It's just that the play she went into - Steaming (coincidentally also starring Genevieve Lemon who later appeared as Marlene 'Rabbit' Warren) - went onto become one of the great successes of commercial theatre lasting for several years. I believe she was asked back at one point by Prisoner's producers but was unable to return due to her theatre commitments.

And by the time Steaming had finished its long run, Amanda has said that most of those in the cast who she knew when she was in it (Val, Sheila, Judith McGrath etc) had left the programme. So, she just felt it was time to move on to other projects.

Thanks for that information Gov, i always wondered why she didn't come back again, and she is arguably one of the most recognized "supporting" core cast. still wish she'd made a reappearance tho, I'm only on episode 480 so it would be something to look forward to... many cast members should have made reappearances in my opinion after the point I'm at including characters like Noleen, Marilyn, Monnie, Margo, Helen, Marie.... the list goes on.... and i would have liked some closure on Sandy Edwards and Sonia Stevens too.

Chrissie is by far one of the most Iconic prisoners though and certainly made an impact behind the bars.

I have Betty Bobbit's book On The Inside, she said Geniveve was a wonderful singer too, as a matter of fact, she got married later on and she has a daughter that can also sing.

Hi Heffnersheri48, How is Betty's book? I'd be quite interested in getting a copy if it had a prisoner dominated theme through it, but is it more of an auto biography? even then i might be tempted... cannot wait for On The Inside tho

oh and does it make reference to her homosexuality in the book and how it was portraying a lesbian while secretly hiding it? call me curious! (she did play the role very well )
