Default Nola McKenzie

I have to say that after watching Volume 11 of the UK release I still maintain that Nola is indeed the greatest "evil" inmate the programme saw. I was only 11 when I started watching PCBH and it was around the time Nola turned up at the Halfway House as Jean Carter. I remember then being a little scared then, but watching it again has made me appreciate the character even more and the fantastic acting from Carole Skinner is great! I'm loving the rivalry between Nola & Bea at the moment! The "K is for Killer" scene is still really powerful even today. I also love her wise cracking also like calling Lizzie "Rip Van Wrinkle" Really looking forward to Volume 12 now as only have 1 episode left of Volume 11 😱

The squabbles between Nola and Lizzie were very entertaining. I loved the insults between them. Nola came up with the classic line: 'You'll get wrinkles on top of your wrinkles, Wrinkles!'

Default team work...

heeheehee...I loved Nola speaking when she was explaining a plan...lol. Also, the scene where her n Joanie were all excited that their plan had worked...the team work of it, LOL...when Joanie says 'WE DID IT!'' HAHAHAHAHA! Hilariously brilliant!

I also loved Nola, and thought she got a great exit it's just a pity she was in a era of the show which i found the worst, Zara moonbeam and Nola were great characters but it seemed to be one of the worst periods, probably mostly due to that halfway house.... i certainly didn't miss it when that was finished! - oh and i suspect my dislike for the very, very long stint Maxine Daniels did inside did not improve my love for the era (only she bounced back and forth between prison and the halfway house - no where was safe!)

Nola was a class act all the way tho - always she had a plan, and she didn't need muscle, just a plan... no real ambition to be top dog either... just happy to be causing some trouble... i also like how she did away with Paddy... she said herself, it could have been anyone who walked through those doors - Paddy wasn't particularly missed by me.

Oh and i LOVED it when, one by one she got revenge on all those who had beaten her... fantastic viewing!
