Thanks Ant, thats you added again.
Yeah mate do try check out the forthcoming NGP (PSP2) in case you might need to replace your PSP as it really is a fantastic piece of kit.
I posted the specs in the Games Talk thread but give it a google as it's a sweet looking machine.

I enquired about my 60GB model and its 25 quid to look at it then the cost of repairs. Overall average price for YLOD repairs was £50 to £60.
Try the small indie cpu shops Ant , they give warranty as well.
    Good luck mate.

:'( My friend still has it. He said he'd take a look at it a few days ago but I've not heard from him yet. He guarantees me that he will fix it but I'm really fed up with having to wait so long. I almost bought a Blu-ray player the other day just so I can start watching the latest Arrow Blu-rays as I'm having major withdrawal symptoms at the moment

Check your UMD case has'nt come loose and is stopping the disc inside from spinning Ant.
I bought SVR11 on PSP as well as PS3 and was putting some hours in on it and it wouldn't load one day, turned out the clear plastic cover of the UMD had come loose and was preventing the disc inside from being spinning and being read.. Those good guy's at GameStop replaced it for me though as it was only a week old.

Another main reason with games not loading on PSP models 1000 & 2000 is the back door comes loose and even though it closes ok its slightly of centre and the UMD wont load.
Run your finger along the bottom of a loaded PSP and see if its even and flat around the door area, if its not then that could be the problem.
It's easy fixed at home if thats the case.

Good luck mate, I hope you get it sorted.

No, not yet. Won't be able to get it to my mates shop until Saturday. To top it off i got my psp out of storage for the first time in years, all worked until i tried playing a game and the UMD wouldn't work. I guess thats the laser gone or something.
