metal really is improved by adding a female vocalist as it softens the aggressiveness of the music

all three singers are very good indeed. Tarja has amazing operatic voice, and annette may be poppy but is very good vocalist as well. floor is a great relacement though as she can combine both.

Nightwish have had three singers. The excellent Tarja Turunen sang on Angels Fall First - Once.
Anette Olzon - Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum, and current singer Floor Jansen who sang on their most recent album Endless Forms Most Beautiful.

i have never heard of them Demdike. but i like what i see on youtube with combination of rock and classical. the lead singer has a beautiful voice as well. kind of like Katherine jenkins joining Heart

Have you tried Nightwish? A more symphonic style of female fronted rock.

Can't go wrong with Blondie, Heart, The Bangles or the Go Go's.
