Back when I went (I was on a Submarine, so when we got into port they booked us a room and gave us £90 per day to live on, at around £4.50 for a big mac £5 for a half litre of lager £90 doesn't go far). I don't know whether or not they're in the Euro if they are things may have evened out a bit. The people are friendly but tall and I'm sure that the Norwegian for "excuse me, please?" is an elbow in the ear.

Cheers Troggi i have not had much else on all week ha ha. Laptop is acting strange so i was not online much all week. I have heard Norway is expensive but well worth a visit. A friend of mine works on oil rigs so moves all over the world he is over and back to Norway a few times a year he loves it. Im driven crazy with envy everytime i talk to him.

Y' know when it thaws here, and I suppose there in Ireland (a place I'm in love with and have never been), it gets all hard and mucky frozen slush. I never even noticed that there, Tromso, the world's most northerly city. Save up before y' go though, it was a tad dear when I was there (1987, so it might be better now).
