I've 'ad one 'r two. Point is, yeah, Satriani was shit hot and now I've got to take codeine and amytriptiline on top of Guinness and kraken rum. I think i'll get a hangover.

What a co-winkidink, "Have you ever tried a spoon like the great Steve Hillage?" I've just been to Asda (at this time o' night everyone's at home watchin' "Please make me a Celebrity") and I passed the Prog rock magazine, I only buy it sometimes cos it's 8 quid! Anyway, little picture on the front of Steve Hillage, got a new album and a UK tour comin' up. I thought I'd tell ya cos ya might want to space out to some cosmic vibrations and glissando guitar. Give his version of Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man" a try, that's an order!

Bloody Hell, I hope she's bought a lottery ticket too!
I remember watching Buddy Guy on TV a few years back when he played Glastonbury and being blown away by his performance, so much so that I stole his "playing the guitar with a drumstick" trick at my next gig ha ha

Few years back she won 2 tickets to see Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy at the London Jazz and Blues Festival in the Moat at the tower. Buddy Guy was clean simple soulful and did a good piss-take of nearly every other blues guitarist you could think of, sheer joy to watch and hear.

We left after about 15 mins of Beck's self-indulgent twangings, and I quite like Beck!

I think he's a great player, but I'm not into "fretwankers" as I call them, too much showing off and not enough soul for me, prefer guitarists like Hendrix and Gilmour personally, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at free tickets to see him!
P.S I know Hendrix had tons of gimmicks etc. but his playing at least had some feeling to it and not just 300 notes per minute via frantic tapping of the fretboard like a 5 year old playing Street Fighter 2 on the Super Nintendo
